Recap Updates
An occasional series of industry-leading white papers
For years, Recap has published short white papers called Recap Updates. Each investigates a topical and urgent aspect of affordable housing finance and policy. We publish them whenever an issue demands a response, around eight times a year. They are regarded as required reading at leading financial institutions, lenders and investors, government agencies, and non-profit organizations.
Typical Update topics
In the past few issues, we’ve dealt with the best way to use volume cap bonds to increase funding for affordable housing, with the stresses resulting from changes in Section 8 and LIHTC rules, and with ways municipalities can provide workforce housing.
Our analyses are specific, focused, and detailed
Recap Updates are written by senior Recap employees who are working actively, and who therefore have an intimate knowledge of business. Recap Updates focus on the specific topic of affordable housing, and their content is unsurpassed. Within that context, they are even entertaining. As Abraham Lincoln said, "People who like this sort of thing will find this the sort of thing they like." You know who you are.
