Our asset recovery services guide you in making significant decisions to rescue troubled assets, allow you to act promptly on those decisions, and improve your investment results.

Over time, some affordable housing assets can develop serious problems

Affordable housing assets can be neglected by various interests, simply because of their complexity. Loans may have defaulted. Partners may have started with similar interests, but over time their interests have diverged, and they are unable to reach agreement on a course of action. A receiver with a legal background may not understand the full financial implications of various decisions. It may sometimes seem like such properties are unredeemable disasters.

Asset recovery can often turn a bad situation around

Do you foreclose? Do you sell? Do you restructure the debt? You need to take all transaction costs into account when making a decision. And an adversarial relationship is usually not the best solution. Common interests can almost always be identified. Guided properly, most participants can be persuaded to make decisions that are in the best interest of the portfolio as a whole.
